Medical Optometrist Opportunity | $200K+ Earning Potential + 5 Weeks PTO | Central Wisconsin

An established, multi-location eye care practice in Central Wisconsin is seeking a full-time optometrist to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an OD looking for full-scope medical optometry, strong earning potential, advanced clinical resources, and extensive support within an integrated eye care environment.

The incoming optometrist will provide a mix of comprehensive and medical eye care to patients of all ages. Clinical scope includes ocular disease management, routine eye care, specialty contact lenses, dry eye treatment including IPL, and surgical co-management. ODs work closely with the ophthalmology team to provide pre- and post-operative care for cataract, refractive, and oculoplastic procedures.

Doctors typically see approximately 30 patients per day, depending on location and patient mix, with strong technician support. Providers generally have one to two dedicated technicians, allowing the OD to focus primarily on diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.

The practice offers advanced clinical technology including:

  • OCT
  • Visual field
  • LDD
  • Velita
  • Optos

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • No regular weekend schedule
  • Approximately five weeks of rotating call per year
  • No hospital call for optometrists
  • Travel between practice locations on a predetermined, ongoing schedule

Compensation & Benefits

  • $120,000 guaranteed compensation during the first year
  • RVU-based production compensation after year 1
  • Realistic earning potential of approximately $200,000–$250,000

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
  • Wisconsin optometry license or ability to obtain
  • Interest in comprehensive and medical optometry
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and clinical support staff
  • 2027 graduates and residents are encouraged to apply
