Position Type: Full-Time (Monday – Friday)

Compensation: $190,000 Base Salary OR 16% of Revenue (Whichever is Higher)

Additional Incentives: Sign-On Bonus and/or Retention Bonus Available

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Optometrist to join our premier eye care practice in Cary, NC. This position offers a highly competitive compensation structure and a true work-life balance with a standard Monday through Friday schedule—no required weekends or late nights.

Whether you are an experienced Doctor of Optometry or a talented new graduate, this role provides an excellent clinical environment, state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, and strong administrative and tech support.

Compensation & Benefits

• Guaranteed Base Salary: $190,000 / year

• Production Bonus: 16% of revenue (paid out if higher than base)

• Sign-On & Retention: Generous sign-on bonus and/or retention bonus options available for qualifying candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams, vision testing, and contact lens fittings.

• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and disorders (e.g., glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome, diabetic retinopathy).

• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care with local ophthalmology partners.

• Communicate effectively with patients regarding eye health, preventative care, and treatment plans.

• Collaborate with an experienced support team of technicians and opticians.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry.

• Active (or eligible) license to practice optometry in the state of North Carolina.

• Strong diagnostic skills and a patient-centered approach to care.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
