Travel Optometrist needed in Bay Area – $700 per diem, gas and mileage reimbursed
This unique eyecare opportunity involves taking lightweight mobile equipment with you to different assisted living facilities and performing vision screenings on the geriatric population. Make a difference in the lives of your patients, earning $600 per diem for working just 6 hours per day! Mileage is reimbursed.
Overview:
- M-F only, option for 4 day work week
- 8am-2pm typical daily schedule
- Schedule is VERY flexible to fit your needs
- Mobile equipment provided
- Comprehensive vision exams
Areas of coverage:
- Berkeley
- Fremont
- Oakland
- Hayward/San Leandro/Castro Valley
- Livermore (only one facility)
Compensation and benefits:
- $700 per diem salary
- Extra $100 per day for gas
- Mileage reimbursed $0.60 per mile
- Health insurance
- 401K
- Malpractice insurance
Minimum qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry degree (O.D.)
- Valid CA optometry license
- Driver’s license
- Willing and able to drive around the area for work
- Passion for caring for the geriatric population
