About Us: We are searching for an NP or PA to join our well-established and highly regarded ophthalmology practice serving the Wilmington, DE area. Our central location provides easy access to Maryland and Pennsylvania, offering a great opportunity for candidates seeking to work in a vibrant and diverse region. Our current owner is a skilled ophthalmologist who performs approximately 300-350 cataract and glaucoma procedures annually and is booking months in advance. To accommodate our growing patient volume and maintain the high level of care we are known for, we are excited to welcome a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to our team.

Job Description: As an NP or PA you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. Working under the supervision of our experienced ophthalmologist, your responsibilities will include conducting diabetic eye exams, assisting with post-operative care, performing minor surgical procedures, administering IV injections, foreign body removals, pre & post ops, and more. Surgeries are done in the local ASC or hospital. Your expertise and support will ensure that our patients receive timely and comprehensive care, enhancing their overall experience at our practice. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the ophthalmologist and other team members to optimize patient care
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for accurate documentation and communication
• Provide patient education and address any concerns or questions

Qualifications:

• Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Delaware.
• Previous experience in ophthalmology, eye care, or a related field is preferred BUT very willing to train if the right candidate is interested in Ophthalmology.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with electronic health records (EHR) and technology in healthcare settings.
• Enthusiasm for providing compassionate patient care and making a positive impact.
