Mobile Optometrist Opportunity | $650/Day + Travel Reimbursement | Greater Sacramento, CA

An established mobile eye care organization is seeking a full-time or part-time optometrist to provide routine vision care to residents of assisted living facilities throughout Sacramento and surrounding communities within approximately a 60-mile radius. This is an excellent opportunity for an OD looking for flexible scheduling, $650 per day plus travel reimbursement, shorter workdays, and a rewarding patient care environment.

The incoming optometrist will travel between assisted living facilities throughout the assigned territory, providing routine comprehensive eye exams to geriatric patients. Coverage includes Sacramento, Elk Grove, West Sacramento, Davis, Woodland, Stockton, Lodi, Fairfield, Placerville, Auburn, Grass Valley, and surrounding communities.

Additional coverage may include San Andreas, Jackson, Yuba, Williams, and other nearby communities, depending on facility needs.

Lightweight mobile equipment is provided, allowing the optometrist to deliver quality eye care directly to patients without the demands of a traditional office setting.

Schedule & Responsibilities

• Part-time and full-time schedules available
• Monday–Friday, no weekends
• Typical workday of 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Travel to assisted living facilities throughout the assigned territory
• Perform routine comprehensive vision examinations for geriatric patients
• Mobile equipment provided
• Training provided

Compensation & Benefits

• $650 per day
• Additional $100 per day for gas
• Mileage reimbursement per IRS guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
• Active California optometry license
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the greater Sacramento region
• Passion for providing quality eye care to the geriatric population
