An established, multi-location ophthalmology practice in California’s Coachella Valley is seeking a full-time optometrist to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an OD looking for full-scope medical optometry, $200K+ earning potential, a $25K signing/relocation bonus, and collaboration with fellowship-trained ophthalmologists.
The practice includes 10 providers across locations in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, and La Quinta, with five ophthalmologists and five optometrists. The incoming OD will provide comprehensive primary eye care while diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions and co-managing surgical patients.
Clinical Scope
- Comprehensive primary eye care
- Diagnosis and management of chronic ocular disease
- Pre- and post-operative surgical care
- Medical and optical optometry
- Collaboration with fellowship-trained specialists in glaucoma, retina, refractive surgery, and advanced anterior segment
- Access to advanced diagnostic and treatment technology
- Integrated Ambulatory Surgery Center
- Strong clinical and optical support
Schedule
- Tuesday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Mondays off
Compensation & Benefits
- $175,000–$250,000 base salary
- $200K+ demonstrated total earning potential with medical and optical productivity bonuses

Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- California optometry license or ability to obtain
- Interest in medical and primary eye care
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated OD/MD environment
Located in the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs, the area offers year-round sunshine, golf, hiking, biking, and other outdoor recreation, along with convenient access to restaurants, entertainment, and the surrounding Southern California region.
