Medically focused private practice in the Poughkeepsie area looking for an Optometrist

Great opportunity for a medically focused Optometrist in the Hudson Valley. This private practice has built a thriving practice by providing excellent patient care and they are looking for a caring Optometrist to provide medical exams.

• The practice is fully equipped for comprehensive care.
• Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM; no weekends or evening shifts.
• Growing patient base with a focus on glaucoma, dry eye, diabetic care, post-op follow-ups, and more.
• The Optometrist would see an average of 24-30 patients per day with support from a technician and scribe.
• The role involves a mix of comprehensive exams, medical eye care, and quick check-ups.
• Note: The practice does not have an optical department.
• Patients range from pediatric to geriatric.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist (OD)

• Perform comprehensive eye health and vision examinations
• Diagnose disease and vision disorders
• Counsel patients regarding their vision needs

Requirements of the Optometrist (OD)

• Doctor of Optometry degree (OD)
• License to practice in the state of NY
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a team environment
