Well-established Ophthalmology practice in Farmington, MO (just an hour from St. Louis) is seeking a medical Optometrist to join the practice – Mon-Fri only!
This practice has been a leader in eye care and eye surgery in Southeast Missouri for over 30 years. They’re unique among eye care practices because they provide an all-in-one diagnostic, treatment, and surgical center for all diseases of the eye unlike any other eye center in Southeast Missouri.
Farmington, Missouri, St. Francois County, is located about 60 miles south of St. Louis in the Mineral Area Region. In 2015 statistics from Only in Your State ranked Farmington, Missouri as the “Best Place to Raise a Family.” Situated at the edge of the Ozark Mountains, it boasts more than 15 parks, golf courses, vineyards, community civic center/waterpark, and trails. The historic downtown gives residents a range of entertainment. Farmington is known as the city of “Tradition and Progress.”
Highlights of the position:
- Mon-Fri only
- EHR: ModernizingMedicine
- OCT, VF, IOL Master, autorefractor
- No optical – NO GLASSES/CONTACTS!
- Option for 4 or 5 days/week
- 15 techs on staff
- Salary: $100k-190k DOE + yearly production bonus
- Benefits: Health, dental, malpractice, CE (up to $2k), 3 weeks PTO, 401(k) + 4% match after 1 year employment
Responsibilities of the OD:
- Co-manage ocular disease, corneal conditions, foreign body removal, dry eye, cataract post-ops
- Call: every 3rd weekend, every 3rd holiday
- See 15-20 patients to start
- See patients from adult to geriatric
- Work hours: 8-5
Requirements of the OD:
- Doctor of Optometry degree (OD)
- Valid Missouri license
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
