Successful, privately-owned Optometric franchise in Maple Grove, MN seeks a full-time Store Manager.

This position offers the Manager the opportunity to work in a positive environment and well-equipped office, in addition to working with a top performing team of professional optometrists, opticians, techs, and lab techs. This one-of-a-kind opportunity requires some evenings and alternate weekends.

The Store Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily business operations to ensure that this practice runs smoothly. The Store Manager is responsible for making sure the store functions smoothly while optimizing profits. The Store Manager must be able to garner respect and motivate personnel to perform at their maximum capacity, keeping the store in good working order. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of sales, staff training, merchandising, ordering, and marketing as well as strong people-skills.

Responsibilities for the Store Manager:

  • Drive customer service excellence to every aspect of the stores, including store appearance, display of merchandise, product placement, story layout, and selling procedures
  • Ensure strategic goals and sales targets of the stores are met by maximizing sales and gross profit, reviewing sales performance, controlling expenses, and managing inventory
  • Work with the Assistant General manager to hire, train, develop, and supervise staff
  • Provide employees with feedback, coaching
  • Coordinate daily staffing and staffing schedules with the assistance of Assistant General managers
  • Ensure the stores comply with outlined safety policies and procedures, as well as state and local health regulations
  • Monitor stock and inventory, and perform quality assurance of merchandise on a regular basis
  • Fill in when necessary to ensure that staffing levels are maintained
  • Demonstrates and performs high levels of competency in all aspects of office/customer service duties
  • Fosters a team environment while leading by example in Best Practices of providing outstanding customer service and patient care
  • Creates and implements programs to garner increased sales and engagement amongst employees to meet and exceed sales and other company goals set forth by owners
  • Work with Assistant General managers to create and maintain operational processes and systems (i.e. quality, computer systems and business flows)
  • Oversees the supervision of all retail employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Week 1
Sunday – Off
Monday – 8:45 to 8pm
Tuesday – 12:30 to 8pm
Wednesday – Off
Thursday – 8:45 to 5:30pm
Friday – 1:30 to 8pm
Saturday – 8:45 to 5pm

Week 2
Sunday – 11:15 to 4:30
Monday – Off
Tuesday – 12:30 to 8pm
Wednesday – 12:30 to 8pm
Thursday – 8:45 to 8pm
Friday – 8:45 to 4pm
Saturday – Off

This schedule could change but the total hours will not change.

Experience:

Some Optical experience so you can hit the floor running with your optical knowledge. We will train you on our processes and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $26.00/hr plus commissions on total store sales
  • The total compensation could easily surpass $80,000 a year
