Well-established, private Optometric practice an hour from the Twin Cities is seeking a PT/FT Optometrist – Practice with autonomy, no weekends!

Established over 40 years ago their offices serve the greater St. Peter, Le Sueur, and Belle Plaine areas. In their clinic group, you will work with a team of other eye care professionals ranging from friendly, service-minded staff to the team of optometrists and numerous area ophthalmology specialists. In the clinic, their optometrists offer a wide range of vision services, disease treatment and management, and surgical co-management. Their optical department stocks over 2,000 independent and designer frame lines and use the most advanced measurement and lens designs available to best serve your patients’ vision needs.

Highlights of the position:

• Professional autonomy – practice in a way that aligns with your desires/specific skills
• No weekends
• Practices have OCT, visual field, fundus camera, autorefraction, meibography
• Tech assistance for pre-testing and special testing
• EHR: Crystal PM
• Earn $515 per diem
• Benefits include: $300/month toward health insurance OR student loan repayment, relocation assistance, state licensure, one state conference per year, unlimited unpaid leave, 3 weeks PTO, vision benefits for you and your family, holiday pay, malpractice and liability insurance covered

Responsibilities of the OD:

• See an average of 18-20 patients per day
• 2 days/week in St. Peter, 1 day/week in Le Sueur
• Provide routine vision exams
• Co-manage surgical patients
• Contact Lens fitting
• Treat and manage a wide spectrum of ocular disease
• Emergency and acute eye care

Minimum qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
• Valid MN license
• Willingness to relocate to the greater St. Peter area
• Willingness to practice at two of the clinics weekly, located 20 minutes apart
